Two men from Banu Amir came to Ayesha and informed her that Abu Hurayra was narrating from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "Bad omens are found in the house, the woman, and the horse."She became furious, with one part of her flying up to the sky and another part to the earth, and she said, "By the One who revealed the Furqan to Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ never said this. He only said that the people of the pre-Islamic era used to take bad omens from such things."
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا همام بن يحيى عن قتادة
دخل رجلان من بني عامر على عائشة فأخبراها أن أبا هريرة يحدث عن النبي ﷺ أنه قال الطيرة من الدار والمرأة والفرس فغضبت فطارت شقة منها في السماء وشقة في الأرض وقالت والذي أنزل الفرقان على محمد ما قالها رسول الله ﷺ قط إنما قال كان أهل الجاهلية يتطيرون من ذلك
Its chain of transmission is sahih. This was previously discussed at 25046. Abu Hassan is al-Araj, and he is trustworthy, his hadith is found in Sahih Muslim. He is well known by his kunya, and his actual name is Muslim bin Abdullah. This statement comes from Ayesha based on what she herself heard, but it has been established as sahih that the Prophet ﷺ said, "If bad omen exists at all, it is in three things," through several routes, as noted at 22764 and its cross-references.
