The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray four units before the noon prayer. Yazid said on one occasion, "And two units after it, and two units before the dawn prayer."He used to say, "What excellent two surahs they are which people recite in the two units before the dawn prayer, Say, O you disbelievers and Say, He is Allah, the One."
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا الجريري عن عبد الله بن شقيق
كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي أربعا قبل الظهر وقال يزيد مرة ركعتين بعدها وركعتين قبل الفجر وكان يقول نعم السورتان هما يقرءونهما في الركعتين قبل الفجر قل يا أيها الكافرون وقل هو الله أحد
