Shurayh bin Hani reported,

I said to Ayesha, "Mother, what would the Prophet ﷺ begin with when he entered your house, and what would he conclude with?"She replied, "He would begin with the tooth-stick and conclude with the two units of prayer at dawn."

عن المقدام عن أبيه قال

قلت لعائشة يا أمه بأي شيء كان يبدأ النبي ﷺ إذا دخل عليك بيتك وبأي شيء كان يختم قالت كان يبدأ بالسواك ويختم بركعتي الفجر
