He saw nothing wrong with a man getting married while in the state of ihram. He used to say that the Prophet of Allah ﷺ married Maymuna bint Harith at a watering place called Sarif while he was in ihram. When the Prophet of Allah ﷺ completed his pilgrimage, he traveled until he reached that same watering place, where he consummated the marriage with her.

أنه كان لا يرى بأسا أن يتزوج الرجل وهو محرم ويقول إن نبي الله ﷺ تزوج ميمونة بنت الحارث بماء يقال له سرف وهو محرم فلما قضى نبي الله ﷺ حجه أقبل حتى كان بذلك الماء أعرس بها
