Ayesha reported that Utbah bin Abu Waqqas said to his brother Saad, "Be aware that the son of Zamah's slave girl is my son."Ayesha continued, On the day of the Conquest, Saad saw the boy and recognized him by the resemblance. He embraced him and said, "By the Lord of the Kaabah, this is my nephew."Then Abd bin Zamah came and said, "Rather, he is my brother, born on my father's bed from his slave girl."So they went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Saad said, "Messenger of Allah, this is my nephew. Look at his resemblance to Utbah."Ayesha said, The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a resemblance to Utbah more striking than any people had ever seen.Abd bin Zamah said, "Messenger of Allah, rather he is my brother, born on my father's bed from his slave girl."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The child belongs to the bed. And veil yourself from him, Sawdah."Ayesha said, By Allah, the boy never saw her until she died.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن عروة
أن عتبة بن أبي وقاص قال لأخيه سعد أتعلم أن ابن جارية زمعة ابني قالت عائشة فلما كان يوم الفتح رأى سعد الغلام فعرفه بالشبه واحتضنه إليه وقال ابن أخي ورب الكعبة فجاء عبد بن زمعة فقال بل هو أخي وولد على فراش أبي من جاريته فانطلقا إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال سعد يا رسول الله هذا ابن أخي انظر إلى شبهه بعتبة قالت عائشة فرأى رسول الله ﷺ شبها لم ير الناس شبها أبين منه بعتبة فقال عبد بن زمعة يا رسول الله بل هو أخي ولد على فراش أبي من جاريته فقال رسول الله ﷺ الولد للفراش واحتجبي عنه يا سودة قالت عائشة فوالله ما رآها حتى ماتت
