Rifa Qurazi divorced his wife with an irrevocable divorce. After him, Abdul-Rahman bin Zubayr married her. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Prophet of Allah, I was married to Rifa, and he gave me the last of three divorces. After him, I married Abdul-Rahman bin Zubayr, but by Allah, Messenger of Allah, he has nothing with him except something like this fringe."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ smiled, then said to her, "Perhaps you wish to return to Rifa? No, not until you taste his sweetness and he tastes yours."She said that Abu Bakr was sitting with the Prophet ﷺ, and Khalid bin Saeed was sitting at the door of the chamber, not yet given permission to enter. Khalid began calling out to Abu Bakr, saying, "Abu Bakr, will you not rebuke this woman for what she is openly declaring before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن عروة
أن رفاعة القرظي طلق امرأته فبت طلاقها فتزوجها بعده عبد الرحمن بن الزبير فجاءت النبي ﷺ فقالت يا نبي الله إنها كانت عند رفاعة وطلقها آخر ثلاث تطليقات فتزوجت بعده عبد الرحمن بن الزبير وإنه والله ما معه يا رسول الله إلا مثل هذه الهدبة فتبسم رسول الله ﷺ ثم قال لها لعلك تريدين أن ترجعي إلى رفاعة لا حتى تذوقي عسيلته ويذوق عسيلتك قالت وأبو بكر جالس عند النبي ﷺ وخالد بن سعيد جالس بباب الحجرة لم يؤذن له فطفق خالد ينادي أبا بكر يقول يا أبا بكر ألا تزجر هذه عما تجهر به عند رسول الله ﷺ
