Ayesha reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah , Allah hates to meet him."Ayesha said, "Messenger of Allah, is hating to meet Allah the same as hating death? By Allah, we all hate it."He replied, "No, that is not what is meant. Rather, when Allah has decreed that the believer be taken, what awaits him of Allah's reward and honor is unveiled before him, so when he dies, he loves to meet Allah and Allah loves to meet him. As for the disbeliever and the hypocrite, when Allah has decreed that he be taken, what awaits him of Allah's punishment and disgrace is unveiled before him, so when he dies, he hates to meet Allah and Allah hates to meet him."

عن عائشة قالت

قال رسول الله ﷺ من أحب لقاء الله أحب الله لقاءه ومن كره لقاء الله عز وجل كره الله لقاءه فقالت عائشة يا رسول الله كراهية لقاء الله أن يكره الموت فوالله إنا لنكرهه فقال لا ليس بذاك ولكن المؤمن إذا قضى الله عز وجل قبضه فرج له عما بين يديه من ثواب الله عز وجل وكرامته فيموت حين يموت وهو يحب لقاء الله عز وجل والله يحب لقاءه وإن الكافر والمنافق إذا قضى الله عز وجل قبضه فرج له عما بين يديه من عذاب الله عز وجل وهوانه فيموت حين يموت وهو يكره لقاء الله والله يكره لقاءه
