Nafi reported,

A woman came in to visit Ayesha and noticed a spear set up in the room. She asked, "What is this spear for?"Ayesha replied, "We use it to kill geckos."Then she narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that when Ibrahim was cast into the fire, every creature tried to put it out except the gecko, which kept blowing on the flames to keep them burning against him.

أن امرأة دخلت على عائشة فإذا رمح منصوب فقالت ما هذا الرمح فقالت نقتل به الأوزاغ ثم حدثت عن رسول الله ﷺ أن إبراهيم لما ألقي في النار جعلت الدواب كلها تطفئ عنه إلا الوزغ فإنه جعل ينفخها عليه
