Ayesha said, "The family of Abu Bakr sent us the leg of a sheep at night. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ held it while I cut, or I held it while he cut."The one speaking with her asked, "Did you do this without a lamp?"She replied, "Had we possessed a lamp, we would have eaten its oil as a condiment with our food. A whole month would pass for the family of Muhammad ﷺ during which they neither baked any bread nor cooked anything in a pot."

قالت عائشة بعث إلينا آل أبي بكر بقائمة شاة ليلا فأمسك رسول الله ﷺ وقطعت أو أمسكت وقطع فقال الذي تحدثه أعلى غير مصباح فقالت لو كان عندنا مصباح لائتدمنا به إن كان ليأتي على آل محمد ﷺ الشهر ما يختبزون خبزا ولا يطبخون قدرا
