I said to al-Qasim bin Muhammad, "My father's wife nursed a girl from among the common people with the milk of my two brothers. Do you think I may marry her?"He replied, "No. Your father is her father."Then he related the hadith of Abu Quays, saying that Abu Quays came to Ayesha seeking permission to enter, but she did not grant it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came, she said, "Messenger of Allah, Abu Quays came seeking permission to enter, but I did not grant it."He said, "He is your uncle, so let him enter upon you."She said, "It was the woman who nursed me, not the man."He said, "He is your uncle, so let him enter upon you."

قلت للقاسم بن محمد امرأة أبي أرضعت جارية من عرض الناس بلبن أخوي أفترى أني أتزوجها فقال لا أبوك أبوها قال ثم حدث حديث أبي القعيس فقال إن أبا القعيس أتى عائشة يستأذن عليها فلم تأذن له فلما جاء رسول الله ﷺ قالت يا رسول الله إن أبا قعيس جاء يستأذن علي فلم آذن له فقال هو عمك فليدخل عليك فقلت إنما أرضعتني المرأة ولم يرضعني الرجل فقال هو عمك فليدخل عليك
