Ayesha reported,

Pain came upon the Prophet ﷺ one night, and he began to groan and toss about on his bed.Ayesha said to him, "If one of us did this, you would hold it against him."He replied, "The believers are dealt with strictly. No believer is struck by a misfortune, even a thorn-prick or an ache, without Allah raising him a degree by it and erasing a sin from him," or something close to what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said.

حدثنا عبد الملك بن عمرو وقال حدثنا علي عن يحيى قال حدثني أبو قلابة أن عبد الرحمن بن شيبة خازن البيت أخبره أن

عائشة أخبرته

أن النبي ﷺ طرقه وجع فجعل يشتكي ويتقلب على فراشه فقالت له عائشة لو فعل هذا بعضنا لوجدت عليه فقال إن المؤمنين يشدد عليهم فإنه ليس من مؤمن يصيبه نكبة شوكة ولا وجع إلا رفع الله عز وجل له بها درجة وحط بها عنه خطيئة أو كالذي قال رسول الله ﷺ
