The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The blood of a Muslim is not lawful to shed except in three cases: a man who has killed and is therefore killed in retribution, a man who commits adultery after marriage, or a man who renounces his faith after embracing Islam."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يحل دم امرئ مسلم إلا رجل قتل فقتل أو رجل زنى بعدما أحصن أو رجل ارتد بعد إسلامه
