Urwa reported,

Abdul-Malik bin Marwan wrote to him asking about certain matters, and Urwa wrote back to him, "Peace be upon you. I praise to you Allah, beside whom there is no god but He. As to what follows, you have written asking me about certain matters." He then mentioned the hadith.He said, Ayesha informed me that while they were resting at midday in their house, with no one present with Abu Bakr except his two daughters Ayesha and Asma, suddenly the Messenger of Allah ﷺ appeared at the peak of the noon heat. It was his unfailing habit to visit Abu Bakr's house at the start and end of every day. When Abu Bakr saw him coming at midday, he said, "Nothing has brought you here, Prophet of Allah, except some new development."When the Prophet ﷺ entered the house, he said to Abu Bakr, "Send out whoever is with you."Abu Bakr replied, "There is no stranger here. They are only my two daughters."He said, "Allah has granted me permission to depart for Medina."Abu Bakr asked, "Messenger of Allah, may I accompany you?"He answered, "Yes, you may accompany me."Abu Bakr said, "Take one of the two mounts." These were the two mounts that Abu Bakr had been feeding and preparing for the journey, awaiting the moment permission would be granted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu Bakr offered him one of the two mounts and said, "Take it, Messenger of Allah, and ride it."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "I will take it only for its price."

أن عبد الملك بن مروان كتب إليه يسأله عن أشياء فكتب إليه عروة سلام عليك فإني أحمد إليك الله الذي لا إله إلا هو أما بعد فإنك كتبت إلي تسألني عن أشياء فذكر الحديث قال فأخبرتني عائشة أنهم بينما هم ظهرا في بيتهم وليس عند أبي بكر إلا ابنتاه عائشة وأسماء إذا هم برسول الله ﷺ حين قام قائم الظهيرة وكان لا يخطئه يوما أن يأتي بيت أبي بكر أول النهار وآخره فلما رآه أبو بكر جاء ظهرا فقال ما جاء بك يا نبي الله إلا أمر حدث فلما دخل عليهم البيت قال لأبي بكر أخرج من عندك فقال ليس عليك عين إنما هما ابنتاي قال إن الله عز وجل قد أذن لي بالخروج إلى المدينة فقال أبو بكر يا رسول الله الصحابة قال الصحابة فقال أبو بكر خذ إحدى الراحلتين وهما الراحلتان اللتان كان يعلف أبو بكر يعدهما للخروج إذا أذن لرسول الله ﷺ فأعطاه أبو بكر إحدى الراحلتين فقال خذها يا رسول الله فاركبها فقال رسول الله ﷺ قد أخذتها بالثمن
