The hadith of Ibn Umar was mentioned to her, that the deceased is punished by the weeping of the living. She said, "Abu Abdul-Rahman has erred, just as he erred on the day of the well of Badr. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ only said, 'He is being punished while his family weeps over him,' meaning the disbeliever."

ذكر لها حديث ابن عمر أن الميت يعذب ببكاء الحي قالت وهل أبو عبد الرحمن كما وهل يوم قليب بدر إنما قال رسول الله ﷺ إنه ليعذب وأهله يبكون عليه يعني الكافر
