The Prophet ﷺ used to perform the witr prayer with five units, sitting only in the last of them.
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا هشام بن عروة عن أبيه
أن النبي ﷺ كان يوتر بخمس ركعات لا يجلس إلا في آخرهن
Its isnad is sahih. It has already been mentioned at 25492.
