"Whoever wakes up in a state of major ritual impurity should not fast."So Abu Bakr and his father Abdul-Rahman set out and went in to Umm Salama and Ayesha. Both of them said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to wake up in a state of major ritual impurity, not from a wet dream, and then he would fast."Abu Bakr and his father Abdul-Rahman then went to Marwan and informed him of this.Marwan said, "I insist that you both go to Abu Hurairah and tell him."So they went to Abu Hurairah and informed him.Abu Hurairah asked, "Did they really say this to you?"They replied, "Yes."He said, "They know better. I was only told this by Fadl bin Abbas."
حدثنا يحيى عن ابن جريج قال حدثني عبد الملك بن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث بن هشام عن أبيه أنه سمع
من أصبح جنبا فلا يصم قال فانطلق أبو بكر وأبوه عبد الرحمن حتى دخلا على أم سلمة وعائشة فكلتاهما قالتا كان رسول الله ﷺ يصبح جنبا من غير احتلام ثم يصوم فانطلق أبو بكر وأبوه عبد الرحمن فأتيا مروان فحدثاه قال عزمت عليكما لما انطلقتما إلى أبي هريرة فحدثتماه فانطلقا إلى أبي هريرة فأخبراه قال هما قالتاه لكما قالا نعم قال هما أعلم إنما أنبأنيه الفضل بن عباس
