He used to say, after the final tashahhud in the night prayer, certain words which he regarded as extremely important. He would say, "I seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of Hell, I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of the false messiah Dajjal, I seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the grave, and I seek refuge in Allah from the trials of life and death."The narrator said that he used to regard these words as very important and would mention them, narrating from Ayesha from the Prophet ﷺ.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق قال أخبرنا ابن جريج
أنه كان يقول بعد التشهد في العشاء الآخرة كلمات كان يعظمهن جدا يقول أعوذ بالله من عذاب جهنم وأعوذ بالله من شر المسيح الدجال وأعوذ بالله من عذاب القبر وأعوذ بالله من فتنة المحيا والممات قال كان يعظمهن ويذكرهن عن عائشة عن النبي ﷺ
