Waki narrated to us, saying Hisham reported from his father, from Ayesha, that Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I experience continuous bleeding and never become pure. Should I abandon the prayer?"Waki said in his version, "He said, 'No.'"Yahya said in his version, "That is not menstrual blood. It is only a vein. So when your menstrual period comes, leave the prayer, and when it ends, wash the blood from yourself and pray."Yahya said, "I asked Hisham, 'Is it a single washing, then she performs ablution before each prayer?' He replied, 'Yes.'"
حدثنا يحيى عن هشام قال أخبرني أبي
ووكيع قال حدثنا هشام عن أبيه عن عائشة أن فاطمة بنت أبي حبيش جاءت إلى النبي ﷺ فقالت إني أستحاض فلا أطهر أفأدع الصلاة قال وكيع قال لا قال يحيى ليس ذلك الحيض إنما ذلك عرق فإذا أقبلت الحيضة فدعي الصلاة فإذا أدبرت فاغسلي عنك الدم وصلي قال يحيى قلت لهشام أغسل واحد تغتسل وتوضؤ عند كل صلاة قال نعم
