Abis bin Rabia reported,

I went in to see Ayesha and asked her, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbid eating the meat of sacrificial animals after three days?"She replied, "Yes. The people were going through hardship, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted the wealthy to feed the poor. Yet I have seen the family of Muhammad ﷺ eating a sheep's shank fifteen days later."I asked her, "How could that be?"She laughed and said, "The family of Muhammad never ate their fill of seasoned bread for three days in a row until he met Allah ."

عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس عن أبيه قال

دخلت على عائشة فقلت لها أكان رسول الله ﷺ ينهى عن لحوم الأضاحي بعد ثلاث فقالت نعم أصاب الناس شدة فأحب رسول الله ﷺ أن يطعم الغني الفقير ثم لقد رأيت آل محمد ﷺ يأكلون الكراع بعد خمس عشرة فقلت لها مم ذاك قال فضحكت وقالت ما شبع آل محمد من خبز مأدوم ثلاثة أيام حتى لحق الله عز وجل
