The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the two rakahs before the morning prayer, making them so brief that I would wonder whether he had even recited the Opening of the Book in them.
حدثنا عبد الصمد بن عبد الوارث قال حدثني أبي قال حدثني يحيى يعني ابن سعيد قال حدثني ابن أخي عمرة عن عمته عمرة
كان رسول الله ﷺ يصلي الركعتين قبل الغداة فيخففهما حتى إني لأشك أقرأ فيهما بفاتحة الكتاب أم لا
Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Akhi Amrah is Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman Ansari, who is trustworthy, and his hadith appears in the Sahih. The hadith previously appeared at 25272.
