The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would be in a state of major ritual impurity and then sleep. When he got up, he would perform a full bath and go out with his head still dripping water, and he would fast for the rest of that day.
حدثنا يزيد قال أخبرنا حجاج عن عطاء
كان رسول الله ﷺ يجنب ثم ينام فإذا قام اغتسل وخرج ورأسه يقطر ثم يصوم بقية ذلك اليوم
