Ayesha reported,

We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys, and when we reached al-Bayda, or Dhat al-Jaysh, a necklace of mine broke and fell. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ halted to search for it, and the people halted with him, though they were not near any water and had none with them.The people went to Abu Bakr and said, "Do you not see what Ayesha has done? She has kept the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people waiting in a place where there is no water and they have none with them."Abu Bakr came in while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was resting his head on my thigh, asleep. He said, "You have detained the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the people in a place where there is no water and they have none with them."Ayesha said, Abu Bakr scolded me and said whatever Allah willed him to say, and he began poking me in the side with his hand. Nothing kept me from moving except the position of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with his head on my thigh. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued to sleep until morning, when the people found themselves with no water. So Allah revealed the verse of tayammum, and they performed tayammum.Usayd bin al-Hudayr said, "This is not the first blessing that has come through you, family of Abu Bakr."Ayesha said, We then made the camel I had been riding stand up, and we found the necklace beneath it.

قال قرأت على عبد الرحمن: مالك عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه

عن عائشة زوج النبي ﷺ أنها قالت

خرجنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في بعض أسفارنا حتى إذا كنا بالبيداء أو بذات الجيش انقطع عقد لي فأقام رسول الله ﷺ على التماسه وأقام الناس معه وليسوا على ماء وليس معهم ماء فأتى الناس إلى أبي بكر فقالوا ألا ترى ما صنعت عائشة أقامت برسول الله ﷺ وبالناس وليسوا على ماء وليس معهم ماء فجاء أبو بكر ورسول الله ﷺ واضع رأسه على فخذي فقال حبست رسول الله ﷺ والناس وليسوا على ماء وليس معهم ماء قالت فعاتبني أبو بكر وقال ما شاء الله أن يقول وجعل يطعن بيده في خاصرتي ولا يمنعني من التحرك إلا مكان رسول الله ﷺ على فخذي فنام رسول الله ﷺ حتى أصبح الناس على غير ماء فأنزل الله عز وجل آية التيمم فتيمموا فقال أسيد بن الحضير ما هي بأول بركتكم يا آل أبي بكر قالت فبعثنا البعير الذي كنت عليه فوجدنا العقد تحته
