He asked Ibn Umar about a man perfuming himself at the time of entering ihram.Ibn Umar replied, "I would rather smear myself with tar than do that."My father then asked Ayesha and informed her of what Ibn Umar had said.She responded, "May Allah have mercy on Abu Abdul-Rahman. I used to perfume the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, then he would visit his wives, and in the morning he would enter ihram with the fragrance still wafting from him."

أنه سأل ابن عمر عن الرجل يتطيب عند إحرامه فقال لأن أطلي بقطران أحب إلي من أن أفعله قال فسأل أبي عائشة وأخبرها بقول ابن عمر فقالت يرحم الله أبا عبد الرحمن كنت أطيب رسول الله ﷺ ثم يطوف على نسائه ثم يصبح محرما ينتضح طيبا
