A Jewish woman came to visit Ayesha and mentioned the punishment of the grave, saying to her, "May Allah protect you from the punishment of the grave."So Ayesha asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the punishment of the grave, and he said, "Yes, the punishment of the grave is real."Ayesha said, "After that, I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform a prayer without seeking refuge from the punishment of the grave."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن الأشعث بن سليم عن أبيه عن مسروق
أن يهودية دخلت عليها فذكرت عذاب القبر فقالت لها أعاذك الله من عذاب القبر فسألت عائشة رسول الله ﷺ عن عذاب القبر فقال نعم عذاب القبر حق قالت عائشة فما رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يصلي صلاة بعد إلا تعوذ من عذاب القبر
