Ayesha asked, "Prophet of Allah, what should I say if I happen to know which night is Laylat al-Qadr?"He replied, "Say, 'O Allah, You are Pardoning and love to pardon, so pardon me.'"

Its isnad is sahih. Ibn Burayda is Abdullah Aslami, Abu Sahl Marwazi, and he is trustworthy, his hadith is found in all six of the major collections (al-Jamaah). The hadith was narrated by Tirmidhi (5/534, no. 3513), who said it is hasan sahih, and by Ibn Majah (2/1265, no. 3850). Hakim graded it sahih (1/530), and Dhahabi agreed with him. All of them recorded it in the chapter on supplication.
