Zurara bin Awfa reported,

Saad bin Hisham bin Amir, who was his neighbor, informed him, and he mentioned the hadith, saying that he visited Ayesha, who reported about the Prophet ﷺ that he used to pray nine units of prayer, not sitting during them except at the eighth. He would praise Allah , remember Him, and supplicate, then rise without giving the closing salutation, then pray the ninth unit. He would sit, praise Allah , remember Him, and supplicate, then give the closing salutation loud enough for us to hear. After that, he would pray two more units while seated.

أن سعد بن هشام بن عامر وكان جارا له أخبره فذكر الحديث وأنه دخل على عائشة فذكرت عن النبي ﷺ أنه كان يصلي تسع ركعات لا يقعد فيهن إلا عند الثامنة فيحمد الله عز وجل ويذكره ويدعو ثم ينهض ولا يسلم ثم يصلي التاسعة فيقعد يحمد الله عز وجل ويذكره ويدعو ثم يسلم تسليما يسمعنا ثم يصلي ركعتين وهو قاعد
