A woman came to me with her two daughters. I had nothing in the house except a single date, so I gave it to her. She took it, divided it between her two daughters, and ate nothing of it herself. Then she stood up and left with her daughters.The Prophet ﷺ came in just after that, and I told him what had happened. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is tested with anything from these daughters and treats them well, they will be a shield for him from the Fire."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن الزهري عن عروة بن الزبير قال عبد الرزاق وكان يذكره عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر وكذا كان في كتابه يعني الزهري عن عبد الله بن أبي بكر عن عروة أن
جاءت امرأة ومعها ابنتان لها فلم تجد عندي شيئا غير تمرة واحدة فأعطيتها إياها فأخذتها فشقتها بين ابنتيها ولم تأكل منها شيئا ثم قامت فخرجت هي وابنتاها فدخل النبي ﷺ على تفيئة ذلك فحدثته حديثها فقال رسول الله ﷺ من ابتلي من هذه البنات بشيء فأحسن إليهن كن سترا له من النار
