Ayesha reported,

Ayesha was late in coming to the Prophet ﷺ, and he asked, "What kept you, Ayesha?"She replied, "Messenger of Allah, there is a man in the mosque whose recitation is more beautiful than anyone I have ever heard."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out, and there he found Salim, the freed slave of Abu Huzaifa. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Praise be to Allah, who has placed someone like you among my community."

حدثنا ابن نمير قال حدثنا حنظلة عن ابن سابط

عن عائشة قالت

أبطأت على النبي ﷺ فقال ما حبسك يا عائشة قالت يا رسول الله إن في المسجد رجلا ما رأيت أحدا أحسن قراءة منه قال فذهب رسول الله ﷺ فإذا هو سالم مولى أبي حذيفة فقال رسول الله ﷺ الحمد لله الذي جعل في أمتي مثلك
