Ayesha said to me, "Are you not amazed at Abu Hurairah? He came and sat beside my chamber, narrating from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so that I would hear him. I was performing my supererogatory prayer, and he got up before I finished. Had he stayed until I completed my prayer, I would have replied to him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not rattle off hadith the way you people do."

قالت لي عائشة ألا يعجبك أبو هريرة جاء فجلس إلى جانب حجرتي يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ يسمعني ذلك وكنت أسبح فقام قبل أن أقضي سبحتي لو جلس حتى أقضي سبحتي لرددت عليه إن رسول الله ﷺ لم يكن يسرد الحديث كسردكم
