I said to Ibn Abbas, "We go on military expeditions to the people of the Maghrib, and most of their water-skins," and Hammad sometimes said, "and the majority of their water-skins, are made from carrion."He replied, "I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Tanning them purifies them.'"
حدثنا عفان حدثنا حماد بن سلمة أخبرنا زيد بن أسلم
قلت لابن عباس إنا نغزو أهل المغرب وأكثر أسقيتهم وربما قال حماد وعامة أسقيتهم الميتة فقال سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول دباغها طهورها
