Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ intended to sleep, he would cup his hands together, blow into them, and recite "Say, He is Allah, the One" [Ikhlas 112:1], "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak" [Falaq 113:1], and "Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind" [Nas 114:1]. Then he would wipe his face, his head, and the rest of his body with them.Aqeel said, "I saw Ibn Shihab do the same."
