Ayesha reported,

I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ placing his hands on the mane of a horse while speaking to a man. I said, "I saw you placing your hands on the mane of Dihya Kalbi's horse while you were speaking to him."He asked, "Did you actually see him?"She replied, "Yes."He said, "That was Jibreel , and he sends his greetings of peace to you."She said, "And peace, mercy of Allah, and His blessings be upon him. May Allah reward him well as a companion and a guest, for what an excellent companion and what an excellent guest he is."Sufyan said, "By 'guest' she meant a visitor."

رأيت رسول الله ﷺ واضعا يديه على معرفة فرس وهو يكلم رجلا قلت رأيتك واضعا يديك على معرفة فرس دحية الكلبي وأنت تكلمه قال ورأيتيه قالت نعم قال ذاك جبريل عليه السلام وهو يقرئك السلام قالت وعليه السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته جزاه الله خيرا من صاحب ودخيل فنعم الصاحب ونعم الدخيل قال سفيان الدخيل الضيف
