Ayesha gave instructions that the funeral procession of Saad bin Abu Waqqas be brought past her through the mosque. When she heard that people were criticizing this, she said, "How quick people are to speak. By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed the funeral prayer over Suhayl bin Bayda nowhere but in the mosque."
حدثنا سعيد بن منصور قال حدثنا فليح بن سليمان عن صالح بن عجلان ومحمد بن عبد الله بن عباد
أن عائشة أمرت بجنازة سعد بن أبي وقاص أن تمر عليها في المسجد فبلغها أن قيل في ذلك فقالت ما أسرع الناس إلى القول والله ما صلى رسول الله ﷺ على سهيل ابن بيضاء إلا في المسجد
