I asked Ayesha about nabidh, and she said, "The delegation of Abdul-Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he forbade them from preparing nabidh in gourds, hollowed stumps, vessels coated with pitch, and green jars."Then she called an Abyssinian servant girl and said to me, "Ask this girl, for she used to prepare nabidh for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."The girl said, "I would prepare it for him in a waterskin at night, tie its mouth shut, and hang it up. When morning came, he would drink from it."

سألت عائشة عن النبيذ فقالت قدم وفد عبد القيس على رسول الله ﷺ فنهاهم أن ينبذوا في الدباء والنقير والمقير والحنتم ودعت جارية حبشية فقالت لي سل هذه فإنها كانت تنبذ لرسول الله ﷺ في سقاء من الليل أوكئه وأعلقه فإذا أصبح شرب منه
