I asked Ayesha about a man who sends his sacrificial animal, whether he must abstain from what a Muharram abstains from. I heard the sound of her hands clapping from behind the curtain, then she said, "I used to twist the garlands for the Messenger of Allah's ﷺ sacrificial animals, then he would send them off, and nothing forbidden to a pilgrim became forbidden to him."

سألت عائشة عن الرجل يبعث بهديه هل يمسك عما يمسك عنه المحرم قال فسمعت صوت يديها من وراء الحجاب ثم قالت قد كنت أفتل قلائد هدي رسول الله ﷺ ثم يرسل بهن ثم لا يحرم منه شيء
