Karima bint Hammam reported,

I entered the Sacred Mosque, and it was cleared for Ayesha. A woman asked her, "What do you say, Umm Muiminin, about henna?"She replied, "My beloved ﷺ used to like its color but disliked its smell. It is not forbidden for you to use it between every two menstrual periods, or at the time of each menstrual period."

دخلت المسجد الحرام فأخلوه لعائشة فسألتها امرأة ما تقولي يا أم المؤمنين في الحناء فقالت كان حبيبي ﷺ يعجبه لونه ويكره ريحه وليس بمحرم عليكن بين كل حيضتين أو عند كل حيضة
