I asked Aswad, "Did you ask Umm Muiminin Ayesha about what should not be used as a vessel for making nabidh?"He replied, "Yes. I said to her, 'Umm Muiminin, what should not be used as a vessel for making nabidh?'"She answered, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us, the people of the household, from using gourds and vessels coated with pitch."
