Saad bin Hisham reported,

I came to Ayesha and said, "Umm Muiminin, I want to devote myself entirely to worship and abstain from marriage."She replied, "Do not do that. Have you not read 'Indeed, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example' [Ahzab 33:21]? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself married and had children."

أتيت عائشة فقلت يا أم المؤمنين إني أريد أن أتبتل فقالت لا تفعل ألم تقرأ {لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة} قد تزوج رسول الله ﷺ وولد له
