A man entered upon the Prophet ﷺ, and he drew him close and seated him near himself. When the man left, Ayesha said to him, "Messenger of Allah, did you not used to complain about this man?"He replied, "Yes, but among the worst of people," or he said, "the worst of people, are those who are honored only out of fear of their evil."
حدثنا أسود قال حدثنا شريك عن الأعمش عن مجاهد
أن رجلا دخل على النبي ﷺ فأدناه وقرب مجلسه فلما خرج قالت له عائشة يا رسول الله ألم تك تشكو هذا الرجل قال بلى ولكن إن من شرار الناس أو شر الناس الذين إنما يكرمون اتقاء شرهم
