Ayesha reported,

When the verse of choice was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "I want to mention something to you, but do not decide on it until you consult your parents."I asked, "What is it?"He then recited the verse of choice.I said, "Rather, I choose Allah and His Messenger ﷺ."The Prophet ﷺ was delighted by that.

حدثنا أبو سعيد حدثنا أبو عوانة عن عمر عن أبيه

عن عائشة قالت

لما أنزل الخيار قال لي رسول الله ﷺ إني أريد أن أذكر لك أمرا لا تقضين فيه شيئا حتى تستأمري أبويك قلت ما هو فقرأ آية الخيار فقلت بل أختار الله عز وجل ورسوله ﷺ ففرح بذلك النبي ﷺ
