Fresh water used to be brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from the wells of Suqya.
حدثنا علي بن بحر حدثنا الدراوردي قال هشام بن عروة حدثني عن أبيه
أن رسول الله ﷺ كان يستقى له الماء العذب من بيوت السقيا
Its isnad is sahih. Darawardi is Abdul-Aziz bin Muhammad, a trustworthy narrator, and his hadith is found in the collections of the group of major scholars. Abu Dawud narrated the hadith at 3/340, number 3735, and Hakim at 4/138, both in the chapter on drinks.
