I went in to see Ayesha, and she said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would rise in the morning in a state of major ritual impurity, then he would bathe, then go out to the mosque with his head still dripping water, and he would fast that day."I informed Marwan bin Hakam of what she had said, and he said to me, "Tell Abu Hurairah what Ayesha said."I replied, "He is a friend of mine, so I would prefer that you excuse me from this."He said, "I insist that you go to him."So he and I went together to Abu Hurairah, and I told him what she had said.Abu Hurairah responded, "Then Ayesha knows best about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر قال حدثنا شعبة عن الحكم
دخلت على عائشة فقالت كان رسول الله ﷺ يصبح جنبا ثم يغتسل ثم يغدو إلى المسجد ورأسه يقطر ثم يصوم ذلك اليوم فأخبرت مروان بن الحكم بقولها فقال لي أخبر أبا هريرة بقول عائشة فقلت إنه لي صديق فأحب أن تعفيني فقال عزمت عليك لما انطلقت إليه فانطلقت أنا وهو إلى أبي هريرة فأخبرته بقولها فقال عائشة إذن أعلم برسول الله ﷺ
