The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from using the hantam, which is the clay jar, as well as the gourd, the Naqi, and vessels coated with pitch.

Its isnad is sahih, after clarification. Abdullah bin Imran Qurashi was graded thiqah by Ibn Hibban, and Abu Hatim said, "A shaykh." But it has been said that he is Abdullah bin Umayr. The first view is more correct. Likewise, Abdullah bin Shammas is graded thiqah, but it has been said that he is Ubaydullah with the diminutive form, and it has also been said that he is Abdul-Rahman bin Sahammasa. The hadith has already appeared at 24530 and 23909.
