Some women from Basra came to visit Ayesha, and she instructed them to clean themselves with water after relieving themselves. She said, "Tell your husbands to do the same, for the Prophet ﷺ used to do it, and it is a cure for hemorrhoids."It was either Ayesha who said this, or Abu Ammar.
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق قال أخبرنا عبد الله قال أخبرنا الأوزاعي قال حدثني شداد أبو عمار
أن نسوة من أهل البصرة دخلن عليها فأمرتهن أن يستنجين بالماء وقالت مرن أزواجكن بذلك فإن النبي ﷺ كان يفعله وهو شفاء من الباسور عائشة تقوله أو أبو عمار
Its isnad is sahih. Its narrators are trustworthy and well known. Shaddad is Ibn Abdullah Qurashi. The hadith was recorded by Tirmidhi 1/30, no. 19, who said, "Hasan sahih," and by Nasai 1/42, no. 46, and Ibn Majah 1/127, no. 356, all in the chapter on purification.
