Ayesha said, "I had no idea until Zaynab entered upon me without permission, and she was furious. She then said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, 'Is it enough for you that when the little daughter of Abu Bakr flips her forearms for you?' Then she turned on me, but I ignored her, until the Prophet ﷺ said, 'Go ahead and defend yourself.' So I turned on her until I saw that her saliva had dried up in her mouth and she could not respond to me with anything. Then I saw the Prophet's ﷺ face light up with delight."
حدثنا عبد الله بن محمد قال عبد الله وسمعته أنا منه قال حدثنا محمد بن بشر عن زكريا عن خالد بن سلمة عن البهي
قالت عائشة ما علمت حتى دخلت علي زينب بغير إذن وهي غضبى ثم قالت لرسول الله ﷺ أحسبك إذا قلبت لك بنية أبي بكر ذريعيها ثم أقبلت إلي فأعرضت عنها حتى قال النبي ﷺ دونك فانتصري فأقبلت عليها حتى رأيتها قد يبس ريقها في فمها ما ترد علي شيئا فرأيت النبي ﷺ يتهلل وجهه
