Ayesha reported,

A poor woman came to me carrying her two daughters. I gave her three dates, and she gave one date to each of her daughters and raised the third to her own mouth to eat it. Her two daughters then asked her for it, so she split the date she had intended to eat between them.Her conduct impressed me, so I mentioned what she had done to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Indeed, Allah has made Paradise obligatory for her because of this, and has freed her from the Fire because of it."

حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا بكر بن مضر عن ابن الهاد أن زياد بن أبي زياد مولى ابن عياش حدثه عن عراك بن مالك قال سمعته يحدث عمر بن عبد العزيز

عن عائشة أنها قالت

جاءتني مسكينة تحمل ابنتين لها فأطعمتها ثلاث تمرات فأعطت كل واحدة منهما تمرة ورفعت إلى فيها تمرة لتأكلها فاستطعمتها ابنتاها فشقت التمرة التي كانت تريد أن تأكلها بينهما قالت فأعجبني شأنها فذكرت ذلك الذي صنعت لرسول الله ﷺ فقال إن الله عز وجل قد أوجب لها بها الجنة وأعتقها بها من النار
