We entered the house of Maymunah, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, and found Abdullah bin Abbas there. We brought up the matter of performing ablution after eating food touched by fire.Abdullah said, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ eat food touched by fire, then pray without performing ablution."One of us asked, "Did you yourself see this, Ibn Abbas?"He pointed with his hand to his eyes and said, "With my own two eyes."
حدثنا حسين حدثنا ابن أبي الزناد عن أبيه
دخلنا بيت ميمونة زوج النبي ﷺ فوجدنا فيه عبد الله بن عباس فذكرنا الوضوء مما مست النار فقال عبد الله رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يأكل مما مسته النار ثم يصلي ولا يتوضأ فقال له بعضنا أنت رأيته يا ابن عباس قال فأشار بيده إلى عينيه فقال بصر عيني
