Ayesha reported,

It was mentioned to her that some people recite the entire Quran in a single night, once or twice. She replied, "Those people have recited and yet have not truly recited. I used to stand in prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for an entire night, and he would recite Surah al-Baqarah, Al Imran, and an-Nisa. He never passed a verse containing a warning without calling upon Allah and seeking His refuge, nor did he pass a verse bringing glad tidings without calling upon Allah and earnestly beseeching Him."

عن عائشة قال

ذكر لها أن ناسا يقرءون القرآن في الليلة مرة أو مرتين فقالت أولئك قرءوا ولم يقرءوا كنت أقوم مع رسول الله ﷺ ليلة التمام فكان يقرأ سورة البقرة وآل عمران والنساء فلا يمر بآية فيها تخوف إلا دعا الله عز وجل واستعاذ ولا يمر بآية فيها استبشار إلا دعا الله عز وجل ورغب إليه
