The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came in to me saying, "Ayesha, your people will be the swiftest of my nation to follow me."When he sat down, I said, "Messenger of Allah, may Allah make me your ransom, you came in saying words that alarmed me."He asked, "What were they?"She said, "You claim that my people will be the swiftest of your nation to follow you."He said, "Yes."She asked, "Why is that?"He replied, "Death will find them sweet, and their nation will begrudge them their lives."She said, "I asked, how will people be after that," or, "at that time?"He said, "Like locust hatchlings, the strong among them devouring the weak, until the Hour rises upon them." The dabā are young locusts whose wings have not yet grown.
حدثنا هاشم قال حدثنا إسحاق بن سعيد يعني ابن عمرو بن سعيد بن العاص عن أبيه
دخل علي رسول الله ﷺ وهو يقول يا عائشة قومك أسرع أمتي بي لحاقا قالت فلما جلس قلت يا رسول الله جعلني الله فداءك لقد دخلت وأنت تقول كلاما ذعرني فقال وما هو قالت تزعم أن قومي أسرع أمتك بك لحاقا قال نعم قالت وعم ذاك قال تستحليهم المنايا فتنفس عليهم أمتهم قالت فقلت فكيف الناس بعد ذلك أو عند ذلك قال دبى يأكل شداده ضعافه حتى تقوم عليهم الساعة والدبى الجنادب التي لم تنبت أجنحتها
