The Prophet ﷺ sent us ahead, or sent Umm Salama ahead and I was with them, from Muzdalifa to Jamrat al-Aqaba, and he instructed us to throw the pebbles only when the sun had risen.

عجلنا النبي ﷺ أو عجل أم سلمة وأنا معهم من المزدلفة إلى جمرة العقبة فأمرنا أن نرميها حين تطلع الشمس
